With 30 years of history creating technical snow apparel, 686 has deep roots that equip the best riders to look good in the toughest conditions. Since cycling has long been the official sister sport to snowboarding and skiing, last season we developed a small collection with input from our Evil friends at Bellingham. This year, we’ve gone all out with our vision of performance, no-frills mountain biking apparel designed to streamline your wardrobe by giving riding kits street-style adaptability.
The goal for the second collection was to increase on-bike mobility while staying true to that mantra of off-bike portability. The ergonomics of the pants and shorts have been updated around the moving body. We wanted to create trail-to-town cycling socks that didn’t mimic all other mountain-specific tights and offered the same clean look and individuality as our snow pants. Headlining the collection are our Platform pants in two different fits: slim for cyclists and relaxed for style lovers. The Platform Shorts transform everyday walking shorts into a technical piece.
All black colorways were created with feedback from Evil Bikes, giving hardcore riders the ability to go head-to-toe black in any temperature. New this season is the Rival long and short sleeve jersey. Designed to be paired with the Platform bottom for functionality on the bike but can be worn every day. Like the pants, think of them as performance wear without making you look like a runner.
