In a world undergoing rapid transformation, strong leadership is more crucial than ever. Shi Taifeng, a high-ranking official from the Communist Party of China (CPC), addressed the 10th China-Singapore Forum on Leadership via video from Beijing on Tuesday, November 18th. He emphasized the need to navigate crises and seize new opportunities in these changing times.
Shi, who is a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and also heads the CPC Central Committee's Organization Department, highlighted the importance of global cooperation in leadership development. He advocated for a collaborative effort to build a shared future for all nations.
He underscored the CPC's pivotal role over the past century, stating that their leadership has united and guided the Chinese people to achieve remarkable milestones and create unprecedented successes. But here's where it gets interesting... Shi specifically mentioned the spirit of self-reform, advocating for rigorous Party self-governance. He believes this is key to leading a social revolution through the Party's own internal improvements.
Singapore's Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence, Chan Chun Sing, also spoke at the forum. Furthermore, the two delegations engaged in detailed discussions and formalized their commitment through a memorandum of understanding on exchanges and cooperation.
