I was born January 30, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Frances Webb and passed away June 12, 2022. I moved to the Fox River Valley when I was two years old with my parents and two older sisters. , Pat and Dorothy. I attended St. Mary’s School in Menasha from grade 2 to 12. It was there that I met David, whom I married in 1961 while he was in the US Marine Corps. We lived in Memphis, Tennessee, then David moved to Beaufort, SC where our children, Todd and Tammy were born. We moved to Philadelphia, PA and lived there until 1969 when we made the decision to move back to Wisconsin. We have spent time traveling in the United States, North America and Europe. Todd introduced us to downhill skiing and we spent many years trying to perfect “powder”. In 1999 David retired from Motorola and I retired from Theda Care and moved part-time to our cabin in northern Wisconsin with our “golden pond” in Winchester (where my ashes will be scattered ) and part-time in Kerrville, TX. Our retirement was a happy event because in September 1999, Todd and Cheri introduced us to triplet grandchildren, Caitlin, Lukas and Jordan (aka Chocolate Ear). That meant spending a lot of time in Connecticut with the triplets; I loved being Grammy. In 2001, we decided the weather “didn’t suit our clothes” in Texas, so we packed up and moved full-time to Casa Grande, AZ. Summers were “muy caliente” but beat the freezing temperatures of WI. Soon after, Todd moved his family to Southern California. Dave and I split our time between CA and AZ. Life was good! I am predeceased by my mother, my father, my sisters, Pat Gauerke and Dorothy Cross and my brother-in-law Jerry Cross. I am survived by my best friend David, the amazing son Todd and his equally amazing wife Cheri, the amazing daughter Tammy and her friend Tony, the talented and beautiful grandchildren Caitlin (Caiti), Lukas (Lukie) and Jordan (Jordie), sister-in-law Lynn and brother-in-law Dave Eckholm, nieces, nephews, loving friends Donna Schuette, school friend Carol (Weber) Vanevenhoven, Judy Meier, Dan Gloede, Jean Vandewalker, Elaine Harper and all the friends I’ve made over the years. “I’m glad I didn’t miss the ball” In lieu of flowers, Cathie’s favorite charities are St. Jude, the ASPCA and the American Diabetes Association.
